<image:caption>Purchasing the Enviro-plug was considered by a Vermont civic employee as a possible creek blocker or “portable dam” holding back water for ice skating in the winter. Then by sliding the side panels inward with the revolutionary “Seipel slide-a-matic steel and channel adjusting system” the Enviro-plug could be made narrower in spring allowing water to flow around it freely after the thaw..</image:caption>

<image:caption>Inspired by the entire Enviro-plug story, John Kerr said he could get a full scale boycott of the Enviro-plug because of the damage this machine would impose on the environment. He quickly developed a document ostensibly developed by the “Deer Island Ad Hoc Committee” condemning the Enviro-plug. During the exhibition he as well as some passers by, he recruited on the spot, passed out brochures to boycott the Enviro-pug and booth #1310.</image:caption>

      <image:title>1990-1999 - 18621 Days" 1999 Solo exhibition/installation</image:title>
<image:caption>1708 Gallery 3000+ pounds of salt, 3 room built environment, with sound and lighting, all sculptural elements were either made with or coated with salt. Three inches of salt covered the floors. This installation centered on the 18621 days that my father lived. He was run over by a truck in a construction accident when he was 51 years old. I was 11 years old at the time. This installation was conceived when I was 51 and had lived 18621 days and realized that would have been the length of my life were my life span the same as my fathers. The announcement is a photo of my father's hand. Check out the Article</image:caption>

<image:caption>View from the ascending ramp in the third room. As you enter this back room of the installation, a ramp ascends 1 1/2 feet and the walls and ceiling narrow toward a scrim which blocks you from entering but allows you to view a portion of a workshop. You hear the tapping sound of carving a toy wooden train car which morphs into the sound of a heartbeat. The heartbeat slowly dissipates to silence. The light made of salt moves very slightly as if it were bumped by someone leaving the scene. I was making this toy when I was told about my father's death.</image:caption>
